About us
An independent publication about website development, with a matching service attached — and a clear line between the two.
We publish guides about planning, designing, building, launching and maintaining websites. Every guide is researched and written by our editorial team, reviewed on a schedule, and published with the date of its last review — including when the review changed nothing.
How we pay for it. We run a matching service: businesses describe a project, and we introduce developers from our pool whose stack, scale and sector fit it. Businesses pay nothing and there is no commission inside anyone’s quote. Developers pay nothing to apply.
What that means for the guides. No agency, platform, host or developer can buy a mention, a ranking or a link. Where a guide names a tool, it is because the tool fits the case being described. Where we have a commercial relationship with something we discuss, the guide says so in the text.
What we do not do. We do not build websites, we do not resell development work, and we do not sell briefs as leads. If nobody in our pool genuinely fits a project, we say so rather than introducing the closest match.
Corrections. If something here is wrong or out of date, write to us and we will fix it and re-date the guide. Corrections are made in the text, not quietly.
